چکیده

To evaluate the effect of eucalyptus, sappan, and cinnamon leaf bark extract on percentage S. mutans biofilm formation. The test group was divided into a negative control (1% Dimethyl sulfoxide), treatment (eucalyptus, leaves at concentrations 50%, 25%, 12.5%, respectively), positive (0.2% chlorhexidine). Each concentration barks extract, Brain Heart Infusion Broth (BHI-B), bacteria according to McFarland 0.5 standard, control, were added 96-well microplate. They incubated 37 °C for twenty-four hours before being rinsed with phosphate buffer saline (PBS) stained 0.1% crystal violet. optical density then measured using microplate reader 540 nm wavelength. absorbance value is factored bacterial adhesion inhibition formula. A statistical revealed significant difference (p < 0.05) in between three extracts DMSO). There all except 50% sappan group. exhibit no > control.
